Thunderbird Club

I beg to differ. There are several rather nasty infectious agents that could survive intact for a week.

Yersinia Pestis (the plague)
Pseudomonas Aeruginosa (multi-drug resistant, responsible for many stubborn nosocomial infections, especially in ICU)
Hepatitis B virus (hepatitis B)
Clostridium Botulinum, Clostridium Tetani (botulism, lockjaw)
And advanced/prolonged cases of stultitia. ;) Seems to be incurable in many.

* Latin for stupidity.

And a pair of ProBucker 760s for $300.

I think you may have been the one that posted the link to the $398 VP burst with HSC that I got from guitar Center in Boston. If so, I see what you're up to!

There for a while I was really hoping to find a beat up Embassy and use the PUs in the 06 Gibson and make that bass like Gibson should have from the start. I've gotten happy with the sound now and doubt I'd ever do it. Pickups would be chrome and the rest of the hardware would be black. It would just get involved after that. As much as I do love the Gibson, I will admit the VP pickups sound way better if you're used to a 60s Thunderbird sound.

I won’t buy an instrument from a seller who uses stock photos in lieu of photos of the actual instrument. Sweetwater has spoiled me...
And the horror stories on this forum about what has been sent from MF via GC the last few months don’t install a lot of confidence. I know some have received good deals. I’m not a hater. I’ve dropped plenty of coin with them since 2014. They have a liberal return policy and all that. But the hassle involved isn’t worth it to me right now. Others’ mileage may vary.

Each sticker adds 5 tone horsepower.

I'm really tired of people saying their bass or guitar "plays like butter," but I'm not quite ready to substitute Parkay either!:D

Yes, it's one of those sayings that literally speaking would be pretty messy. And "butter fingers" is a derogatory phrase... then there's "...little butter ball" which is even worst to imagine.

Yeah, I was wondering why folks here thought that was a good price. I've seen non damaged VPs go for around the same price. Neck repair on a vintage bird, maybe I'd bite if done right. But on a new bass, nope, too many other better options out there.
Well, yeah, but it has a RON JON sticker.:smug:
