Thunderbird Club

So true. Technique comes into play in many ways and allows a wider variety of colours to use. As a related example, a lot of players like their strings just slightly in the fret buzz range to add a bit of texture/grit to the notes, especially as a primarily finger-style player. As someone who uses a pick 80% of the time, I prefer to keep that buzz in check (a bit higher action) because a pick will accentuate fret-buzz. When I'm setting up a bass's action, I'll do the final tests using a pick and if I can play every fret w/o buzz - I'm there. The action is still pretty low, but just above the fret-buzz height.

I got my covers and spacers from @godofthunder59 today. Thanks man! Now... I'll have to wait a few weeks to get them installed. We're about to move (movers coming the 25th). My wife has been in our new city living with her parents since May 18th when she started her new job. I retired on May 28th. My mom was here earlier in the week helping me pack up the kitchen, and she took some stuff I didn't want the movers to take. When she left yesterday, her vehicle was loaded up with my Ampeg head, the houseplants, and all five of the basses I still had here. The others are at my in-laws in the new city.

Quit playin with a buzz a while back. "Tired of waking up on the floor," as Ringo says. LOL

Looks Like Ian Hunter on rhythm guitar and John Lithgow on keys! :) I bet a Ringo Starr concert would be pretty fun!

…action is low...lightweight, seems to be a great player...
That is one great looking Bird ! My laptop reads it as a red-ish pink, izzat its color ?
@KaraQ is also looking at colors somewhere in that general direction for her new project.

Wow! Wait ‘til Kara sees that!

Oh, I'm definitely on the red T-bird train now!
And I think I need that color of liner in all of my cases!

But, I may be rethinking the black pickguard, not totally sold on it with the red.
I did find a vid with the ghost pepper stingray, with a white/silver? sparkly pickguard, I kinda like it, but not sure how the color would be on a Thunderbird:
