Thunderbird Club

I assume you're correct, can't think of any other logical answer. The good news is, I can game that system.

From now on I'll clear my cache, log on to Amazon (vs just visiting their website) and find what I want, then open multiple windows and surf the net for a better price. Before I pull the trigger I'll jump back to Amazon and refresh the window. If they now have the lowest delivered cost I'll pull the trigger there. Then log out and clear my cache.

It was a listing on Amazon that (like everything on Amazon) on first glance is made to look direct unless you know where to look, but once you place the item in your inbox it's clearly being sold and shipped by Guitar Audio Company. Interestingly, if you visit that website their pricing for the two point Hipshot supertone is $87 and the three point is $117. I've triple confirmed I ordered and paid for the three point, and the shipping confirmation lists three point as well. So either I got the three point at two point pricing or the seller messed up the order and the invoice and the shipping info and I'll be receiving a two point, which isn't what I ordered or paid for. Time will tell.
Well, that’s a good price. When I bought one in January, the cheapest deal was Best Bass Gear with one of their promo codes (get on their mailing list). $94.50 including tax and shipping. But it took a couple months to arrive. I’m patient and saved some bucks, but I said next time I’ll order from HS directly.

It’ll be fun to see what shows up and how long it takes.

View attachment 3986666 Only limited Thunderbird content, but I finally got the rest of my basses moved from our old town to our new house. I got them all out and posed them for a not very good group photo. Now I need to decide what sort of hanging system I want to use to display them.
Nice!

I did the Diamond system. Have another yet to put up. Just be sure to follow the company’s instructions. And don’t start drinking until you’re done. I like it. Once everything is done, I’ll set each bracket with A screw.

I have the same system and really like it. I have another 4 ft section that I can hang but it suddenly sounds like we are house hunting so I am not going to hang it up soon. Here is a bad, outdated shot. Now there is nothing but Birds hanging on the wall.

I either didn’t recall or didn’t know you had an Anniversary Tbird. Very cool!

I do and really love it! It was my 50th birthday gift from my wife. She thought it was cool that my favorite bass was released the same year I was born, and who am I to argue when a woman wants to buy me a Thunderbird??

LOL - Bed frames and TBirds, could be a Disney movie. :D

Yes!
I was going to say that since Thunderbirds are clearly more important, it should be "T-Birds & Bedframes"; but then I realized the rule 34 potential with Grease...so I decided to mention it, and point that out?

Most of us would just lay the slats in and call it a day. I can tell you don’t like to cut corners. Impressed.

That is both true, and false. Kinda like some weird quantum state.

It's true, in that imo this is clearly the way it should properly be done.
It's false in that I've intended to do this for at least a decade....
(one of the center slats wouldn't stay put on its own. Gotta do them all! :rollno: )
