It’s one of the few things my wife does not insist on refrigerating! I’ve never had it go rancid. It's pretty easy to determine if peanut butter is rancid. (smell) Once opened it's in the fridge and it isn't going anywhere other than on bread!![]()
PBH- like PB & chocolate, coffee and chocolate, scotch & chocolate... oh, and chocolate.

Cool. What about Rics? I know they are neck-through, and don't recall the construction of the neck section, but don't remember them having that many laminated slices. It may have been one of the earliest examples of multi-lam done in that way. (as later woody-woodchuck Alembic's etc) As far as multi-lam as a structural technique - before Phil Kiubicki's hard-rock maple multi-lam necks came '60s Japanese short-scale necks made that exact way. Nothing's new to a point.
that stuff is super tasty!Adams 100% Natural (Smuckers) Peanut Butter - Ingrediants : Peanuts

if Peanut Butter is getting "rancid" one is NOT a peanut butter fan, or human. It's pretty easy to determine if peanut butter is rancid. (smell) Once opened it's in the fridge and it isn't going anywhere other than on bread!![]()

I haven’t built a bass from scratch for a long time, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be an upside down Ric shape using Thunderbird construction, including the thinner wings. After I get the Ghia on the roadCool. What about Rics? I know they are neck-through, and don't recall the construction of the neck section, but don't remember them having that many laminated slices.
you got peanut butter on my chocolate!....chocolate covered chocolate with chocolate chips...![]()
I’ve always been a fan of laminated necks. When I did my maple Tbird, I made it with 2 pieces cut from the same board. But given the means I’m all for the hippy stripe! From the later '70s into the '80s - multi-lam construction became common. Neck-thru construction was already there - but the advent of "natural" finishes and use of more exotic woods lead to showcasing that 'look'. The "hippy sandwich" was born.
Scotch and Fig Newtons are a fantastic non-obvious combination.PBH- like PB & chocolate, coffee and chocolate, scotch & chocolate... oh, and chocolate.

Likewise. They hafta put a date on them. Sometimes it's sell by__, or use by____. Whatever. My wife would freak at the best by date. I’d still eat it.
As is dark chocolate and beer.Scotch and Fig Newtons are a fantastic non-obvious combination.
Me, too. I had to teach myself it was ok not to clean my plate. Then I taught myself better portion control when putting food on the plate.I'm not familiar with that concept...
I grew up being told to "clean your plate or there will be no dessert".
It's like a lot of regiments/routines - after starting doing (whatever) for a short time (20 minutes... varies) you "get into it", and once you are into it you follow the regiment for a prescribed period of time. The result over time is the reward but the actual routine is always a task. Working on learning a new song at home or just brushing up on old material is like that also - once into it, time flies.
