Thunderbird Club

for what bass? what’s on there now?
BIG doings at Casa Gone Plaid!*
The 67 NR. I had EBCF's 45/65/80/100. I took those off(more on that momentarily)and put on a set of EBCF's 50/70/85/105. A little heavier without requiring minor surgery.
Next, I used alcohol on a cotton ball to wipe down the EBCF's I removed. I then removed the really old set of D'Addario 1/2 rounds, which had been taken offa the LPB2/5, from the recently acquired Epi EB-0. Then I installed the EBCF's from the 'Bird onto the EB-0. Both tuned F/Bb/Eb/Ab for a day or 2. at which point they'll have strotch.
While the necks were bare, both necks were conditioned and both bodies polished.
Both basses look and sound better. Which was kinda what I had in mind in my original thought process.

Where ever do you find the time for such endeavors. ;)

Cool! I love 50-105.

View attachment 4145840 Put Chromes and cleaned it up a bit. Still haven't seen any noticeable knicks on this 7 y.o..

I always thought @Chucky Stiletti 's Sunburst NR was quite the looker without its pickguard, so took this one's off, retouched the few marks around the screws and put them back on and this is the result... not sure about it being logo-less, but I'll let it simmer for a few days and see what comes up.

No route under the PG? Win!!! I'd sell my Gibson for an Epiphone for that reason alone!

Leave the PG off and perhaps a vinyl bird logo slapped on ??

If you have a pic showing the whole bass, I'd love to see it :)... Trying to get my head around that transparent PG.
MERCI!...two different basses, one with the Chromes and one of Scott's PGs, the other with LaBella tapes and the clear guard with one of @Larry V decals......oh and TT!...

I have Chromes on my BaCH. Very bright for a flat but really sits nice and forward in the mix without being overly agressive.

I've never been a huge fan of stark white pickguards, and have always been a huge fan of beautifully stained wood. Your Eppi has an exceptionally beautiful grain, looks stellar without the guard. If you want to flash a bird logo just follow Chuckys lead with the clear guard and sticker.

It's the 1st bass I actually thought of taking the PG off and it's turning out to be the right move.

Crossed my mind, but I never put stickers on basses before, so not sure how it would impact the finish should I want to remove or replace the sticker ? Of course the good move would be not to remove it, but knowing myself....

thinking a black sticker could work as well... @MCF was talking about doing that with his PB NR...if so, it'd be cool to swap and see....hey George, incidentally, been meaning to ask, did your BaCH have the hollow (crappy) black nut when you got it?
