Well, you could have gone to Lodi. I had to spend the night there once. Hotel rooms next to the freeway are all pretty much the same. There's an amusing race track in Willows that I have ridden on, but Willows isn't much of a place otherwise. So, there's the brackets around Sacramento. I'll actually be flying to Sacramento next week and then renting a car to drive to Redding and back in the same day and then flying home. Work things like that are why I don't get much else done.Or maybe 12 years?
Well, since my job is driving.....
I went to super interesting Merced tonight![]()
I took the opposite tack and bought a home a few miles inland. With all this talk of rising sea levels I'm guaranteed to have ocean front propertyOne of the reasons I chose Sacramento when I moved to CA - it seems mostly free from floods/tsunamis/fires/mudslides/earthquakes/blizzards/avalanches/tornadoes/hurricanes/other natural & natural-ish disasters...![]()
LOL - instead of a Polar Vortex maybe we should call it a PillO Vortex.I completely understand. I bought a Toro snow blower (electric) on sale at Sears over a decade ago and it was mony well spent. I could take care of our drive, a neighbors, my mother's and her neighbor in about the time it would take to do mine by hand. Still don't like it much. Winter is fine for a month and then I'm done with it. Those blasted Canadians can keep all that polar air up there where it belongs.![]()
And what a beauty she is!lolll
Honestly, I'd keep it until January 2nd and ship it "notherner" as well.
Happy TT y'alls, Got only one Bird, so you'll get to see her often.
Cheers,
Mike

It’s one of the early Limited edition custom shop Epiphone Explorer Basses.
I tricked it out with Chinabuckers.CTS pots,Shaller roller bridge like the Gibson’s have.New GB7 tuners and a Hipshot Drop D on the E string.
I put the skull and crossbones sticker on the pickguard because the first owner never removed the Epiphone sticker and it faded that spot. The “inlays” on the neck are stick on’s from creative cuts.I took the selector switch out of the circuit. It’s VVT now..DR black beauty strings..some pirate knobs to finish it out.
This Bass will rock your socks for sure. The Epi platform is quite a value to build on.

I've never been accused of being full of cold air...LOL - instead of a Polar Vortex maybe we should call it a PillO Vortex.
Hmmmm. Starting to think that @KaraQ might be in the witness protection program...I've been to all of those places, worked out of Lodi for a bit a few years ago....![]()
Well, I wanted to be polite and not name names. But I'm pretty sure he's created disturbances before--then smiled and relished in his achievement.LOL - instead of a Polar Vortex maybe we should call it a PillO Vortex.
Could be worse, SoCal is full of a lot of hot air. In fact during the Santa Anna winds this place really blows.I've never been accused of being full of cold air...
