Thunderbird Club

Yep, my brother is in Dallas, power out since 3:30 PM on Monday. No heat, no lights except flashlight. He said maybe down to 2 degrees tonight. I told him to go sit in his car to recharge his cell and warm up for a while.

Frozen Wind Farms in West Texas, and Snow Covered Solar Power Cells. Yep that stuff is going to save us from Global Warming..... LOL.
:eek:I suppose it could have been a lot colder in Texas without all this global warming! Just think, somewhere in the Lone Star State right now an owner of an electric car is charging his vehicle with a gasoline powered generator.:rollno: I say, forget that, plug your amp into the generator and blast some foot stompin music with you're Thunderbird, it's guaranteed to warm the place up.:D

The next stage of my project has begun! :jawdrop:
(or, will begin, next "weekend")

Hopefully I won't screw this part up too badly :nailbiting: ....but it's pretty certain I'll manage to make a mess :bookworm:

Oh. That reminds me. You hafta take out the little accessory compartment(at the foot of the bass). 4 staples, IIRC.

I had to do that with my Coffin Case too. I don't know just what model it is, because all it says anywhere is 'Coffin Case', but with the accessory compartment, it was about an inch short for the IV; with the compartment removed, it fits the IV with a lot of room to spare and the VP comfortably. It was one screw on either side to remove it.

Doing some research, I wanted to say it was the model 300-VXR, because that's the only one that seems to have an internal compartment, but they list that one as fitting a Thunderbird unmodified, and that was NOT my experience, so I dunno.

Yes, as opposed to charging from a coal or natural gas fired plant or nuclear in a few places.;)

Looks like we ended up with about 5" or so, fortunately. But it's 16 degrees here this morning. Doesn't take long to freeze your thunderbird off at that temp. (I know, I know, people up North are laughing.)

-10C here this morning (that about 14F in US units) - good skiing weather actually. Looks like we didn't get the 30cm predicted. More like about half that; about 15cm (6" for those still using units NOT based on multiples of 10).

Must have been windy as evidenced by the large ripples in the snow

Just outta curiousness-do you wanna switch clocks to 100ths?

I'm game.

1000 days in a year (also called a kiloday), 10 months deciyears of 100 days each. Ten weeks centiyears of ten days each in a deciyear.

Each day can be divided into 10 decidays and of course each deciday is 10 centidays. Small amounts of time can be measured in microdays. The math is all really easy.

With each metric year being 1000 days, we will all be young again!
