Or this(found by Googling "replacement suitcase handle". Not to be confused with Georg Frederic Handel):

your fellow Canadian (wonder who that may be...,) did the same thing...Rick-o-Sound stereo jack bussing the neck pickup to an SVT with 2 x 8 X 10s and the bridge pup into a Sunn 2000S into 4 X JBL 15s..... sounded glorious....

Truth, I saw RUSH quite a few times early on, Geddy with a Rick 4001 was the tone I loved back then, I saw 2112 at The Paramount in Seattle - so %$#&^*@ loud!

I don't think that is Pete Way. I think its Paul Gray. He was Pete's replacement for a while.

Probably not the same bass but I found this:

...yes, you‘re right, it’s Paul Gray. I found a better pic (strictly copyrighted):

So, I did this thing. I’ve learned to live with the 3-point bridge. I tried the hipshot but, I don’t like aluminum bridges. I still feel like I would get a more even, punchy sound with a brass version. I e-mailed hipshot about it but, that probably will go nowhere. I had some 1/8” thick pieces of aluminum plate so, I cut a rectangle to slip under the 3-point so that it is sandwiched between the body and bridge. The string to string balance it more even now and the notes seem a bit more compressed and punchy. I think that I may get a hipshot A-style bridge and have a machinist buddy to make me a brass spacer plate to put under it. I think the effect would be much more pronounced.

I made a mahogany spacer to go under the 2 point on my EBO. It’s been too long now to remember how it sounded without it....

Alembic does the brass block thing with their bridges. Although the Alembic bridge is a completely different design than the three point it works on a similar floating concept where it sits up on two posts that are sunk into the body or as an option are sunk into a massive brass block embedded in the body. The difference with and without the block is noticeable especially on attack, decay and punch (and weight).
Here's a pic of the bridge/block/tail piece...

And here's a pic of an Alembic without the block...

IIRC, many/most Hipshot bridges are available in aluminum or brass. Of course, Supertone is aluminum only.
