Lol well put, I was trying to avoid the gory details.Flaming train wreck......And like any good train wreck, you couldn't look away.
Hey Larry V, I saw this and thought of you, Happy TT!!Trust me, they are anomalies for their age group.
Darren has been playing guitar for four years in his room for hours and hours at a time and we happen to find him when my son David put an ad in craigslist looking for other musicians his age to play rock and metal with. Neither one, my son who placed the ad nor Darren who decided to have a look at craigslist thought there was a snowball’s chance in hell that they would find another musician their age to play those genres of music.
It was meant to be.
Here's one of my Thunderbirds being thunderous while my oldest son, Dominic(19) plays it with his band, Legacy Drive. My youngest son, David(15) is on drums and the band is rounded out with Brock(17) on rhythm guitar and Darren(15) on lead guitar. Wait till you hear Darren absolutely shred the Rhoads' solo. Too dang good.
They're practicing for their first gig scheduled on March 27th and are the opening band for a 3 band lineup featuring Prowess from North Carolina.
And I thought *I* irreversibly modified a Thunderbird. Wow. Very interested to see if that thing sells.Hey Larry V, I saw this and thought of you, Happy TT!!

Is that headstock obnoxious or what!? Can friggin paddle a canoe with itI've often thought about doing that with a 5 banger although I would go with a reverse headstock to get more Ooomph out of the
low B & E

Might be just me, but I don't see the point in a high C bass. I mean, we're bass/base players, right?Yeah, umm.......No.

Ah the Dude Pit, the wild wild west of bass forums. I met many a great person there, including our Queen. It was sure fun while it lasted.

I've been Hoodwinked

revoked) Let's
try this again with another 5 banger that isn't a Gibby although hasn't been "genetically altered"

David Gilmour said he liked Stratocasters because they “look famous”. I feel the same way about Thunderbirds- especially white birds.Happy TT!
Only pic I have. I'll get some better shots this weekend, but who knows how long it will be until I can get a gig shot of it...

Normally I'm not a fan of Strats, but Gilmour can play whatever he wants and he'll still be one of my absolute favorite guitarists.David Gilmour said he liked Stratocasters because they “look famous”. I feel the same way about Thunderbirds- especially white birds.
