I bet I'm worse than you! Nice strat. I bet is sound really good.
I love the sound of my Les Paul guitar so it was a no brainer when Fender came out with the Blacktop Strat. It pretty well covers the LP sound plus can still cop the traditional Strat sound as well. Not sure why Fender ever discontinued them.

I will look for it. Still unpacking from the move but should run across it soon.
just messin’...this one, must have gone front to back cover what seemed like hundreds of times..

That's an American Standard, right? Those have awesome necks.
Yes it is, a 2005. Not an iconic year for Strats, but I just wanted to replace an acoustic I sold (Sigma Martin--an outstanding sounding guitar). Was looking to just buy a Mexican made strat and a guy I've dealt with off and on for years said I could have this one for not much more. This was when there was a local instrument shop in the area. It's a better instrument than I am a player, that's for sure. I have a little Princeton 75 watt amp I play through. That little sucker is ungodly loud! Never need to go beyond 2 at home.

I'm not sure why the would either. Seems like a great option, and one that would draw some humbucker fans to a Strat.
