I am 50% southeast Ohio, on the way to West Virginia and 50% western North Carolina. That goes back a whole lot of generations. It explains a lot. Thank goodness my wife is half Nigerian half Ashkanazi. The boy is saved from hopeless inbreeding.

Vaccines should be based on the number of people in CA, so it might be more of a distribution problem as much as anything. Numbers do complicate that, but there's more people in CA to address it as well. I hope you are able to get vaccinated before too long. Our numbers here are going down so much I wonder if some will just not think it necessary.

Sounds great, very...bass-y? Less treble-y? Very similar in sound to my CP, I guess, and of course my other MiK T-bird, the one with flats. May be the "darkest"? sounding bass I have....which is awesome :thumbsup:

Needs a bit of setup adjustments, and I just got in the newest set of DR neon reds, so those'll probably go on too.

I did notice the fretboard issue the seller mentioned (the reason why it's stamped "2nd", probably) - frets #15 & #16 are a bit low on the G string. Not much of an issue for me, but something I'll probably correct at some point (I do have some perfectly good brand-new fret wire just laying around....)





Oh, and of course,.....that color! :drool::drool:

I really like the construction of 60’s Gibsons. My buddy had a 65 Melody Maker (given to him by his uncle) and then I got a 68 EBO. It was like a matching set in cherry mahogany.
He kept buying nice Gibsons. When he died he had a 69 SG Custom a 65 NR Firebird 3 and a Bicentenial Firebird.
I could have bought them at and probably flipped one or two, but that wouldn’t have been cool to his brother.
The Bicentenial bird was really nice. That made me want a Thunderbird.

The 2013 EB's case is black with white inside, too. I guess they did that for a bit. The pixie dist 2001 and the 2015 both have brown cases with pink inside. The Flamingo is a 1991, and the case is the same, too, except the shroud is fleece instead of satin.

Gibson is an odd company.
