DRs are great strings for the TBird. @KaraQ has them on a number of hers and I've very successfully used Black Beauties on mine. Truthfully, I've never been much of a Flats person but the Cobalts are about the most roundwound sounding flat I've ever tried. They do sound fantastic on every bird I've put them on (with the exception of my 2015 TBird, but that's a bird of a different feather).
Anything black.
I’m currently running Black Beauties on my Goth. They’re fine for Thunderbirds.

OK, but now you need matching red ball ends.I do love the way the DRs sound on my Thunderbirds!
I've got the neon red on both my Classic Pro and Vintage Pro, and currently have Black Beauties on the "Redbird".
I also have Roto 77 flats on a couple, my old(est) Korean bolt-on, and on the Blackbird (for now, at least).
I've been working on new knobs myself - found some I like well for the CP, and I put the 4th from the set on the Blackbird.
Still not decided how I like the look....maybe? Maybe not?

Welll, I s'pose that'll hafta do...Yeah, I don't really care for Rotosound's multi-colored ball-ends
But! There's red on the other end still

Yeah, if I was having one made/refinished, I'd go with either purple or a kinda dark copper.
Depends. Do I get an NR number when that comes in or do I still just get one number? The big question - how long before the Thunderbird Club and Biker Gang has a thousand members?
I dated a girl (a previous redhead not my wife), who was really into them in the very early 80s (and other similar bands, most of which I won't comment on). They never could hold my attention, but when Love Shack came out I was hooked on that song. It's one of those nearly perfect songs both the song and the way they did it. I still could listen to it several times in a row.Long a fave! I remember when this came out, almost NONE of my friends were listening to it. It might have been depressing, but I'd just listen to the song again. I still love this band. Early B52s and REM put Georgia back up the musical rankings.
blast to play too! oh, man....the good ole days.....I dated a girl (a previous redhead not my wife), who was really into them in the very early 80s (and other similar bands, most of which I won't comment on). Welcome home!Awesome!

Too cool, thx Donnie. That's fantastic. I've heard live versions from the B52s that didn't sound as good.
That is a question for Veronica. But I suspect you will become OlliP when you get the NR and a reissue number will be necessary.Depends. Do I get an NR number when that comes in or do I still just get one number?
Be careful, rumor has it that the last person to ask that question was club member 62, he hasn't been heard from since.Depends. Do I get an NR number when that comes in or do I still just get one number?
