Thunderbird Club

Maybe I’m just doing the proverbial “pissin’ in the wind” routine here, but.....
Anybody out there got a Vintage Pro with a case that they wanna part with for <$600 in the States? I’m partial to the Burst but I dig ‘em all, sooo........
So long as you are upwind, it is good. And best of luck. Their prices seem to be going up, not down.

I love them all.

Whenever our drummer pulls out brushes (which isn't often) I automatically play Jazzy.

Nice! And beautiful sounding recording! I always love women singing in French,( or Portuguese or Spanish)

I enrolled in a jazz camp for a week in August. The guy running it says his mission is to “Stop Irv from sounding like a rock bassist”

NBD (arrived today and took photos right out of the box). Fernandes Nikki Sixx Spector Copy. Multi-laminate neck thru. 32" scale, sort of? 32 1/2? Was Nikki's Spector a weird scale too or did Fernandes just say to hell with it? :roflmao: Gotta get new strings on it before I even plug it in, because these look 20 years old (and not in a good way). Besides replacing the corroded Strat jack I'm not too sure what I'm gonna do with this one. If it sounds really good I may go all the way and get it airbrushed, replace the bridge and tuners, find an opti-grab, and make this a real replica. We'll see...

been trying to get a decent shot of the very elusive California Condor forever .....built the Revell kit in the 70’s when they were endangered...:hyper:..

Great photo, Chuck!

Buzzards love riding their currents out at Mansfield Dam in Austin. One day I ran into a guy flying an RC buzzard glider. He said he'd been out there most every day for (IIRC) three months, and it was only that week the buzzards started accepting his buzzard, and not flying away from it. I was impressed.

speaking of Ps...almost walked out with this the other day....totally blown away at how this thing played/sounded (tried it through a small Ampeg combo) and the fact that it’s MiM.....the US built model behind it didn’t hold a candle even though it’s priced at almost a grand more....

So why didn't you?

Very cool!! I had the bolt-on version of this bass and it was a cool bass. The neck was killer!! Stock pickups were just okay and probably just the run of the mill P-J import pickups. Yours look like there is a logo on at least the J pickup. What does it say?

Those are great value for the money. I like the pickups on the ones I’ve tried. Only knock on them is the bridge saddles tend to move. Easily cured with a better bridge.
