Something else I've noticed is that EVERYBODY that has a JC bass loves it. I have yet to hear one person speak ill of that bass. That really peaks my interest and gets the GAS boiling up for a near future purchase.

However, I'm still waiting (for now at least) for the inevitable Eppi NR VP release in shell pink or firemist gold. In the meantime I'll continue to drool over the JC pics I come across on the used gear sale sites. Please don't (please do, please do) flash any pics of your JC.

I will just leave this here for you...
First pic from the night I picked it up. And secons is current. Strubg with flats. They were in the case, no idea what they are
Removed the pickguard and the impedance ring. I LOVE it!

Sigh, all this talk of J's and P's; here's how you do it:

Just IMHO
That white one is just pure perfection! Did you do the build? What pups is she wearing?

You and @PillO are going to GAS me right into bankruptcy! Those flamed JCs are drop dead gorgeous. I've seen a couple of other unique colors on the JC as well. The red flamed maple top, the bright blue and the gold all look fantastic to me.

As JC players, do you each find that you favor a specific setting on the impedance switch? I think Kat888 (remember her? Kinda miss her wit and wisdom around here) kept hers in max crunch all the time.

I move the impedance switch a bit. 50 for full bassy sound. 250 for some grind. I rarely use 500.

And today, boys and girls, we have an excercise in accuracy.
How many incorrect statements can you spot in this eBay ad? (Be sure to list them)
1951 Fender Bass | eBay

Winner gets a new bass gig bag (you pay the shipping).
Hint: the price isn't incorrect, it's just insane.

Nice. I like the old style headstock.
at GC the other day they had a gorgeous black 2000 with a maple fingerboard...looked REALLY stunning and played beautifully....thought it was used 'cause of the old style hs which the salesman corrected me about and explained they are going back to that shape on some models..

Thanks, these are my all-time favorite 4s. I gathered the parts, had my luthier assemble it. I had Chinabuckers put in it. I had the ThunderP built using Chinabuckers again because I like them that much. I had even bought an Epiphone Embassy to put the 760buckers in it, and elected not to because I like the Chinabuckers that much. Haven't decided what to do with the Epiphone, I had 3, sold 1. With shipping, really not worth selling anymore unless I do it locally.
