That should do the trick! Book some dates East of the Mississippi.starting rehearsals with these guys on Friday...was telling Plaid that since they could give a rats azz what kind of bass I use, they are guaranteed primo toneevery time..

I never recall anything that low. The $99 is all I recall. But I wasn't shopping much for paint jobs then.I remember “$19.95. No ups, no extras.”
Ugh I actually remember this one. That's the man!
That’s my VP and I have no concerns about its safety in that Yorkville case. I bought it from Long & McQuade.
Well worth the $15.
I kinda doubt it, but if you can find out the interior dimensions you would know for sure.
You don't own a Thunderbird. It chooses you if you are lucky enough to be chosen. Based on your questions, there's one looking for you right now.
Ugh I actually remember this one.
I can't get a fitted one for my NR. For one thing I need a minimum of 52".is it fit? Is it safe? Or should I customized it (extra bucks) @TBird1958 @GonePlaid
Dig how devoted you are about working on these, great results too. That's a good point, I hadn't thought about that yet.
I do have a brass nut on that bass (maybe factory?), but I like to use coated strings, so I may not want to rely on that?
Probably easy enough to extend the ground wire, or, maybe, use a small strip of the same copper sheeting used to line the pickup/electronics cavities, and run it under all 5, connected to the bridge ground.....
You're right about that.Indeed! And anything/person near the car. They've been out of business for years around here. Hardly anybody paints a car now to keep them presentable. They just get another one.

, and I think the Babicz FCH-5 may work. But it'd be a tight fit on the upper frets, only about 1/16" left on each side of the fretboard, above & below the strings, at the 20th. I think

Very cool! Maybe the second time I have seen one for sale. Medium or short scale I am guessing it sounds nothing like a NR. The Epiphone bolt on from the 90s would be a better option fitted with a Thunderbucker.
where are you? Happy holiday! It's a national holiday here and I go to the shop (again) today. So the ebony is out of stock and they're still looking for the sunburst. But, the Alpine White one still have a rosewood fingerboard. I'm confused, the VP should be on laurel, right? On another note, I love the sound of neck pickup solo and tone off with stock strings. I think I'm into VP more now
Indonesia. Thanks!where are you? Happy holiday!
Ha! Well the Apple Mac was the Corvette of personal computers of the day! You're right about that.
The last car I considered doing a full repaint on was a 1974 Corvette coupe in 1984. At the time, a full factory quality paint job was going to run about $10,000 and that was without any fiberglass repairs. If I wanted a concours level custom paint job it was up around $15,000.
Needless to say, I didn't do either. Ended up selling the car in 1988 for about $8000 and used the money to by a top of the line Apple Macintosh II computer with a whopping 4 meg of RAM and 40meg hard drive, a 12" 16bit color monitor, a laser printer and a 40meg tape back up drive. Fast forward a few years and the Corvette was worth about $15,000 and the computer system was worth basically nothing. Lesson learned, always buy with the resale in mind.
