LOL - I figure I'm good enough as is for now, mostly cosmetic wear and tear, still have all my original parts, and they even function as designed. If necessary, refins are pretty popular here in SoCal, plastic surgeons everywhere, LA should be called Silicone Valley.

I know. This is why I like the burst finishes. Painted finishes almost need a little window so you can see all the layers and grain goodness going on.

Almost like getting a surprise peek up a skirt.

Ace fought the inclusion of New York Groove, a cover on his solo album and it turned out to be the highest charting song on any of the four solo albums released that year. I absolutely love the song and crank it up each and every time it's played.

It's already sold - looked at his website and he makes primarily lap-steel guitars. Looks like he made that bass for himself and it could be the only one. I could make one but not for that price.

Since there's been some discussion about various tunings, I thought I'd post this video from Stringjoy. They make good strings and I get email occasionally from them with various video topics. I thought this would be of interest.

Played bass or attempted to play bass for several decades now and have never used (needed?) an alternative tuning. Maybe one day I'll give it a try.

I was listening to Gimme Back My Bullets last night in going to sleep. I have some Sony earbuds that really let you hear the bass. I love the bass part on this. Some cool playing. (Computer speakers won't do it as the bass isn't terribly forward.) The tone has a nice raunchy texture to it.
