) Thunderbird related but....
So hard not to say “That’s it, I quit”. Being trounced by an 8 year old is beyond humbling, it’s borderline discouraging. I just keep telling myself - I’m not trying to be the best bass player out there, I’m in it for the fun and to maintain mental and physical dexterity. Besides, I’d hate to give up my membership number in the “Lousy bass players with expensive gear” club. This isn't strictly (or remotely, I guess) Thunderbird related but....

Hats off to the kid, she looks like she’s having fun and sounds like she is a relatively accomplished player at a ridiculously young age. She has her whole life in front of her, I hope she makes the most of it.

Well, this is fun. Yes, *that* song. Sorta.
I'm likely the only one here who doesn't have Netflix....
Well done!
Very nice! Clear signs of being related! The Jazz is a '62 with a slab FB. Body has been refinished, hence I could afford it. Crazy flamed neck untouched. The alternative that year was black I believe. Tort on white is all I can tolerate. Tort, for me, is the visual of Neil's singing.Gnarly might be an understatement, 10 days might be an over statement for playing your bass at home, but I’d imagine going out and about and high energy stuff like stage performances might be hampered a bit for a week or two. Never had the joy of that operation but one of my golf buddies did a few months ago. He wasn’t swinging a club for a couple of weeks.
What year is that Jazz? I think I have it’s brother…

All original 1968 Fender Precision bass, with glorious original tort, which IMHO looks fine on a FSO but hideous on a bird.
Looks better than tort.....
I'm not sure I like you any more..... That's a heavy dose of humility to dump on someone Kara! This isn't strictly (or remotely, I guess) Thunderbird related but....

women may plain out be better bass players than men….. they definitely seem to have a better sense of rhythm (always first ones on the floor)……nothing new, almost goes back to the intro of the new electric bass instrument and Carol Kaye…So hard not to say “That’s it, I quit”. I listened to some of it and came away thinking that there's a future for bass players. Glad to see kids like her and @Larry V 's kids keeping R&R alive. This isn't strictly (or remotely, I guess) Thunderbird related but....

A little clarification: I used to use a BOSS Octaver, but the model I had produced 1-or2-octaves down only. Which meant I hadda play up the octave and have the thing-y reproduce the low note. I spend very little time above 7th/8th fret-by choice-so playing 'up there' to get a fuller sound was kinda awkward. The Micro POG lets me play where I'm comfortableist* and still get the bass and guitar unison octave effect. When we go out as 3, I use my EHX Micro POG, octave up during guitar(or bass)solos. It emulates the Steve Cropper/Duck Dunn guitar/bass unison...sorta.
Tasted better too.Looks better than tort.....
Sweet Jazz. I hear ya on the tort. I have tort on a grand total of two basses (out of about 50) and both are FSO white basses, the only body color and shape that I’d ever even consider having tort on.Very nice!
