He played a Pelham Blue Firebird once all decked out in chrome that was likely the best looking guitar I've ever seen. Might be it.
Ouch! But it was awful funny.
Might end up being the best playing bass you own. My '06 is that good.

Ha! You had me believing your explanation was really on target till you got to the electrocution part. It doesn't have batteries so that can't possibly be right. One would think you engineers would notice such important details. Hopefully Miles can step in can clear all this up.
I tried to step in but accidentally stepped on, which made the headstock fly off and it went clean through the wall and hit a man in Reno but we didn’t watch him die, or at least I didn’t because I was on the lam - note, not lamb, though I did have a gyro for lunch - but not from the regular police or even the Thunderbird Desecration police, but the grammar police because I went way over-budget on punctuation and got caught in a run-on sentence trap.
Send lawyers, birds, and money and yes I took out an Oxford Comma Loan from the feds.
And too much feedback puts dangerous voltage spikes in the strings, which is why guitar players try not to touch the strings during feedback. If they must touch them, they do it with a high impedance pick.
Bass players have to worry about subsonic feedback; what you can’t hear can kill you.
(Just kidding, for anyone wondering.)

That looks beyond beautiful! I’m so glad they went with chrome on this series of NR basses, it just makes everything pop.
Can’t wait to hear your take on how she sounds. Is it closer in sound to a VP or to a modern Tbird or a Bicentennial or a Vintage bird? When strapped on, how’s the weight, balance and reach? What about sitting, does she stay put or do you have to fight it to keep it in playing position?
(Can you tell I want one of these really bad?)
