That's Inverness Green, I'll shoot some more pics in a couple days, I did already swap positions of the input jack and tone pot, easily done in less than 5 minutes.

In the mean time, I've spent the last few days lurking in Rickenbacker land and perusing Japanese auctions. In addition to the Greco I posted last week, I've also gone and snagged this...

Another, apparently rare uncommon, 70s Japanese creation, a JooDee: neck-thru, with full width inlays, and checker binding. Between this and the Greco, I'll be out roughly the cost of a Mexican Fender (Vintera series), plus a bit of shipping.

Not Thunderbirds, I know, I know, but neck-thru! And no tort!

Several reasons....
Now it's like the '60 s version, also it's how most of my other 2 pickup 'Birds are laid out, down to the uneven spacing between the knobs, and to me it looks better. I'm not saying that anyone else has to like it or change theirs.
I'll try to post a few thoughts in the next week or so.

It is a knock out. Even if it sounds awful, it is beautiful enough to have landed.

The factory layout was one of the reasons I even noticed the new NR. Seems like a very cool change. But enjoy yours however configured!
