Beauty!! Congrats! Seems pretty accurate from the pic…say, always wondered, is the shoehorn cover made of two pieces?
Looks great! (I almost puked when you mentioned tort in connection with it!) How does it sound?
Where are you finding these? I live in a lawsuit era wasteland, and have never seen any Greco in person, and I own one of the 2 Tokai I have ever held.
Nice! I haven’t seen a MIJ Ric with a horseshoe PU.
Thx for the details, Argentina is making Ric pickups?…..Yep. On the originals and accurate recreations, the large U shaped magnets surround the strings and also enclose the coil, bobbin and pole pieces. On the Rickenbacker Reissue, they are merely cosmetic, not being magnetized and simply surrounding what is more or less a modified hi-gain pickup.
Won't know for a little while, it's currently in Japan. Waiting for it to arrive to the warehouse to get shipped stateside.
I came upon a website called Jauce.com, from a recommendation of someone here on TB on where to look for lawsuits. They act as brokers for Japanese auctions (Yahoo Auctions, primarily), and then send your purchases over seas. It's my first time using them but everything is smooth sailing thus far, and the prices are reasonable.
I believe this one has been modded out with an aftermarket Horseshoe, possibly one of the newer ones from Argentina that have been cropping up.
Probably German.Thx for the details, Argentina is making Ric pickups?…..![]()
They are back in stock, just arrived last week! These made in USA, high quality, nickle plated and heavy gauge. DM me for details.I've been contemplating some covers for my new Non Reverse, even before it's arrival, especially for the bridge, possibly the pickup too, came across these in my search.......... I should have known that they'd be available from the Man himself. Thank you Scott @godofthunder59 !
