I believe those are essentially Gibson Thunderbirds with a poly finish and different name. The CP sounds dark and low, and when it breaks up it sounds like pieces of the earth exploding with a concussive recoil. I love what this bass does.
It's working.I believe those are essentially Gibson Thunderbirds with a poly finish and different name.
How's this?Congratulations Ken! From that pic it sure looks fantastic and to be in great shape. Did you run out of film or what? One pic is all we get?![]()
None so black.Proving we're all different(well, as much as possible). I like the black on black + maybe a black PG. Sinister.

what’s muratic acid anyway? any one know of other uses?
My VP is easier to play (neck feel) but the CP punches my aural buttons better.
), they play the same to me - maybe because they're both Alpine White poly?

That's great! Looking forward to you doing a video review when you get a chance. How differently does it feel and play from a reverse? I always wondered if they felt a little odd playing them. Ric's never felt right to me--and they do neck dive. Congrats again on a wonderful looking bass. It went to a worthy home!l’m loving the bass! The backyard is quite pleasant this time of year-it’s been a great summer in Seattle!
Oh, heck yeah! How are you liking the bridge?
