It isn't my car - just some random photo from the internet, but my brother had a '62 Coupe de Ville in that color for a while. Driving it was like shooing a herd of buffalo through a swamp. It got great reactions, though. I would drive one if I had the money to blow and a place to put it. No steps growing out of the trunk, though. That would take up space in there, although the whole staircase would probably fit.

Carlo - our over achieving Queen has set the standard for vehicular photos to serve double duty as a TBird display. Your photo, as nice as it is, is missing something that would complete the picture. I'm thinking a nice deep blue or maybe a piano black Cat-Bird would look at home in that shot.Baby needs new shoes...

Ive seen it on one other Eppi. Just assumed it was the result of a headstock wack job but I suppose thick poly paint could do that at sharp corner stress points as well.
That's exactly it. Just a crack in the finish.
I was so going to say that, but held back, lol
I've seen half a dozen epi birds on eBay with that crack. Always wonder if it's just a finish crack, but too nervous to risk it. I can tend to clumsiness myself and don't need any before hand help snapping a headstock off, lol

Mine has finish cracks too, still the most stable neck around
On a similar vein, I have been tossing up putting a spare TBird pickup I have into a black Cabronita. I hate the standard Fender pickup that came with them, but the bass itself is great. Trying to decide whether to do that or buy a TV Jones pickup and install it.
I am toying with the idea of swapping out the pre-amp in my Thunderbird. I have the thought of putting in an Aguilar OBP-2. Any thoughts, experience, advice, cautions, admonitions?
