Thunderbird Club

That's kind of what I meant, is has to be that the driver just didn't have the patience and forged your name himself, I bet that happens often.

Pat said it's happened a couple times for his clients in the last 6 months. He will from now on use UPS and I'll pay for extra insurance. (only a couple dollars more) I've had dozens of bodies shipped from Pat & Marty Bell over many years and have never had one 'go missing'.

I love my Casady! I’ve had Labella DTFs on it for quite a while. It can do the “Pbass with flats” sound, but it also has this nice growl when you dig in.
It is my go-to for gigs that require a “classier” look.

I tend to leave the impedance selector on the middle setting.

It is neck heavy for sure. I had Hipshot Ultralights on it and that helped, but then I moved those tuners to my Eagle. Once the border opens fully, and I can get stuff without ridiculous shipping fees, I’ll put ultralights on it again.

I’m happy to make decals/pickguards/TRCs for you or any other TB Club members. My day job has been very busy, so I just haven’t been actively looking for extra work.
My JC likes nickel rounds. Steel wasn't 'right' on it. I use all three settings; mostly 250 (middle) for modest growl. 50 gives a nice mellow tone (for playing Stray Cats), 500 adds much more growl (for AC/DC), and 500 with drive, it gets a great Lemmy sound. Modestly neck heavy; I have been considering Hipshot ultralights...

One of my fave bands of all time is UFO, I was fortunate in seeing them with Michael Schenker just before he left the band - but these guys were all legit hard rock stars in the true sense. Phil Moog has a great voice, Paul Chapman was probably the best unknown sideman, and of course there's Pete, rocking the '76 Bird.
Loved UFO since high school (when nobody else knew who they were) but never got the opportunity to see them live.

I did get to see Michael Schenker live (before the priests confiscated all the guitars and hid them behind a waterfall)*. Great show - he had singers from each era - UFO, Scorpions, and solo. As an aside, he had Robin McCauley doing the solo material; he is still a great singer and really should have been a much bigger deal.

This particular clip cracks me up as Way's trousers are unzipped for the entire video........
Thanks, can't unsee that now...

an onstage gaffe that even I have not managed to equal
I have to wonder if it was done on purpose/dare/bet.

Up on the roof today for flag pole duty, don't ever doubt about Seattle's ability to do gray, grey, grau, gris, il grigio, harmaa.

The tower in the center is King Street Station (ex Great Northern, Northern Pacific - Mike), to it's immediate right is part of Lumen Field (Seahawks), from where I work 4 blocks away you can easily hear the crowd inside on game day.

I like the variety of architecture. Toronto unfortunately opted to have everything be a box in some shade of grey.

Ah yes, rockstars........

:woot: I've heard that some people don't wear undies. Glad Pete did!

Kind of wondered that myself. "I'll buy you a case of Heineken if you leave it open during filming for one song....."

Sips his case of Heineken after the show with zipper left open to quickly facilitate the release of said Heineken.

Perhaps the cucumber was getting uncomfortable and there was no time to zip up after removing it before starting the next song.

I got involved in a project during the late 70's and the band had a money backer/producer from then Yugoslavia who had had some success producing singles in England. He sent us to a studio in Stommeln, Germany called Dieter Dierks Studio. It turns out he was The Scorpion's producer or engineer at that time or something like that and Schenker had left a lot of his equipment in the studio like AC-30's for recording which our guitarist drooled over being a big Michael Schenker fan. We recorded 'Try Me' by UFO on the album which i liked better than the original actually. the album never got picked up though, i lost my copy which was low quality as i believe the money backer never paid the studio after his failure to secure a recording contract but I thought I was going to be a rock star for a few months.
They flew us over there three times, beautiful studio for those times, 24 track with 46 track capability. Two separate studios in the building, they even had their own hotel with room service which we of course abused and a nice little bar right next door.
Barry Palmer who had been the lead singer for a progressive rock band in Germany called Triumvirat who had just left the band and was in the other studio with a German band asked us to be his back up band in England when he went back, I was ready to jump at it but no one else wanted to, oh well. I thought he had a great voice.

He does a nice cover of McCartney's 'Maybe I'm Amazed' here.

They had the best beer I've ever had in my life out there. It was a little town and each bar featured it's own brand of beer, probably ten different bars in all, we were very well acquainted with most of them too . I brought back a few beer glasses embossed with gold leaf, no idea what happened to them though.

Well you aren’t usually wearing trousers on stage are you?

Well you aren’t usually wearing trousers on stage are you?

Typically, no.

Hot pants, yes. While there isn't a lot of photographic evidence I certainly have had my share of fashion mishaps onstage i.e skirt riding up my leg because the bass is rubbing against it.

If you FF to about 2:45 here you see me catch my boot laces on my other boot, kinda like trying to walk with your pants around your ankles...........D'oh!

You forgot to write GRÅ (= grey in swedish) Swedish is my mother language, as for about 5% of us Finns.
I’m now in Dusseldorf, and also here it is grey, but still quite warm. Back in Finland we get the first snow already, in the north… Just talked to my wife, it’s about 0 degrees in Espoo and raining…
