That was my assumption but one never knows.
Do the French even accept francs as legal tender any more?

Looks like experiments and thus one of a kinds with a bigger price, so you pay for a unique bass.... It would be nice if they took orders.Last I knew Gibson had a Custom Shop, so now a Mod Shop? Somewhere between stock and custom? Sounds like a marketing move to fill that gap. FCS models are usually more $.
I fully agree....with your last sentence, while loosely embracing the former two.Do it. It’s been awhile since you treated yourself. Tell the wife it’s your Christmas and next birthday present. Someone here really should try and get it.
Fender and G&L and no doubt many others will do that. Not doing it must be perceived to be Gibson's niche in the market....Yup. Said to me straight from Gibson.

From the Mod Shop. Could be yours for $2099.

True, actually. They did make that "Firebird Bass" (sic) for Jason Momoa.I think the real deal is Gibson only does custom shop basses for artists, corporations, or big money people. I have seen custom shop basses for sale but they usually were for a charity or a commercial, etc.
I would use a vacuum instead of compressed air.Allegedly - but with a possible input or output problem. Sounded like maybe a bad jack, and was cheap enough that it'll make a good project if it's more than that.
But I haven't tried it yet, I heard something rolling around inside (one of the nuts for the retaining screws, apparently), so I figured I'd pull it apart & have a look at the insides.
I don't have my new speaker yet, that should give me some time to clean it up & check the rest of the wiring![]()
