Thunderbird Club

Before I forget, an early Happy Veterans Day for those who served. Mike know served and likely others. We can even include PillO from across the border in our thanks. (Sorry I don't have a pick guard with a Maple Leaf. The below is all I got.)

Fixed it somewhat. It does have a Maple Leaf on it.

For me, the first order of business would be vacuuming out decades of hepatitis, pseudomonas, and malaria (my assumptions of what is in that grotty dust).

I love the circuit boards. They look like the ones I made in high school.
LOL - I was thinking the same thing. The circuit boards look like a mod squad 1969 era artist flower power sketch. :roflmao:
Either that or a poster for a Jimi Hendrix Monterey Pop Festival

Greco makes a sweet looking Short Scale LP bass with a humbucker shoved up against the neck. Looks like the same pups as their birds. I’ve been trying to find one in the states, most seem to be in Europe, Russia and Japan.
too late…. can’t really do short scales anyway……
more session stuff today and a gig on Sat….borrowing these two for today and taking the Ibanez on Sat..

It's interesting to see the different ways Gibson finished Thunderbird headstocks. On that one, the area around the TRC is finished the same as the neck and body. On every Thunderbird I own, that is black. New NRs have a painted headstock with the exception of the TRC. When the Flamingo got refinished to BMM, I had the choice of leaving that part black or getting it finished BMM to match. I stayed with black. Firebirds that I have seen generally have the whole headstock painted the same color.

Gibson weirdness. Go figure.
