Thunderbird Club

We'll dry out in late June early July, my feet will quit being cold about that time.
I kinda like the rain and crummy weather, up to a point. Late October is when hibernation sets in, but by now, I like it again. In January or February we will get the teaser that comes right before either a blizzard or a days long downpour that never ends. More teasers in March and April, but still cold and wet. May usually seems like an improvement. Then Junuary comes along and it is awful until just after July 4.

Why do I like living in this climate and keep staying here?

Got me. I can't think of anything given what you said, other than maybe you hate moving like I do.:D

Summer here makes up for it. It doesn't get that hot and usually isn't humid. And whinging aside, I don't mind that it's cold and damp for half the year or more. The basement stays dry and stays at a similar temperature all the time, so Thunderbirds age well. The lack of huge humidity swings mean that it's a pretty good place for musical instruments anywhere in the house. It gets chilly, but we only get snow at ground level every few years.

I did, the old one was ded :dead:

This one sounds great so far

Sounds as if we get a fair amount more snow than you do. I don't mind a little bit once in a while, as long as it doesn't stay for days and then ice up on the roads for more days. I do really like the change of seasons. But I wish spring and fall were longer, summer is OK the way it is, but about a month of winter would be found by me. I want to call reading a meteorologist was trying to pick the perfect place to retire to. For him, it ended up being someplace in North Carolina where it largely stayed in the 70s as if I recall correctly. I think he said most of the time it was about 73°.
