Too true, although at this point I would just like to know if my stollen '63 is still among the living. Sadly I have no pictures of it (the days before easy pictures) so I'd have no way to know if it were the one I owned if I saw it. I know of one other '63 II owned by someone on the Thunderbird fb page, and I had a back & forth with a seller on eBay who has a brass mute for sale there who sad it was from a '63 II her husband owned. I have my original brass mute from my '63 (and '64) that I removed so that one isn't mine, and the guy who owns the one on the TB fb page said he got it from his brother who bought it new. (or something like that) So if it's to be believed that there were only a few '63 II's made/sold - that leaves mine, which either met a neck-break end and sold for parts... or it's still out there somewhere. At least I got my pg back!
