Thunderbird Club

My wife told me she wanted to watch the halftime show, and I didn’t even know when it started…

So I’m scrambling to find an app or something to watch it on…

I find out it starts 630 eastern time, then have to do math to figure out when that is mountain time…

I still haven’t found a way to watch it…

Then I tell her I found out who is doing the halftime show and she says “never mind”…

This is the last superbowel I actually watched…

Super Bowl, what Super Bowl.

Head start by 13.5 hours.

Kingfisher is pretty nice. Very available in Sydney.

I want to try some of this:

available now “from selected locations”. None handy to me and I don’t feel up to getting a 6 pack delivered.

While I like(American)football, I don't give the slightest ratz@$$ who wins today. I'll prolly watch whatever Olympic event is on[under ice basket weaving?]or maybe practice this ol' thing:

(prolly not)

I’ll watch a bit here and there. Guess I’ll go for the Rams. Australia “rode on the sheep’s back” after all.

Mike, my wife and I tried to watch the ice hockey but it seems Australia didn’t qualify… :( bother.

Im not a sports fan at all.
I’ll stick with some re-runs of My Favorite Martian. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
Is that like family slide night?

Well they do. :)

But I’m sure you knew what I meant.

From Collins.
A jumper is a Invalid Link Removed knitted piece of clothing which covers the upper part of your body and your arms.
[British]

trying to catch up and I did a double take.
I read that as lamingtons.

Jumpers are a type of clothes here, normally for kids. But when you said jumper I thought you temps were so cold for you it prompted jumping from a bridge or rooftop! Don't do that no matter the temps or situation!

Looks good!

go Rams! omw to get my 2” cut porterhouse..:hyper:

Porterhouse hey? Another thing we don’t share the same name for.
If I assume the bone is in we call it a T-bone Steak (I love ‘em). Otherwise the bigger piece of meat (without the bone) is Sirloin, and the small side is Porterhouse - NY strip I’ve been told.

We also have Chuck steak lol. A guy I went to school with had the name Stuart. Of course he was known to all and sundry as Chuck.

(Stuart > Stu > Chuck because you use Chuck steak in a stew (or braise)).

Lucky we all speak the same language!

No chance of that. A jumper is the same as a sweater I think.

yep - Lamingtons are very good. Not fancy but good.

What a kick-ass showman. :woot: I knew of him, but never really listened/watched his performances. Thanks so much for posting this awesome vid! Elvin Bishop, like Mike Bloomfield (my favorite white blues guitarist!) rocks the blues here! (always has!) :bassist:
I always Elvin Bishop just had a raw, earthy, yet smooth and kind hard to describe style. Another great player few know of of than "Fooled Around and Fell In Love." I've listened to some Bloomfield on occasion, but not really a deep dive. I love blues and he's likely my biggest omission of great blues players.

I used to watch a lot sports. Now I only care about baseball, track and field, marathons, swimming and skiing. I haven’t watched a football game since they let the Chargers leave San Diego. I’ll be playing a Thunderbird today instead of watching that overhyped game.
I do like football, both pro and college. I like that Stafford finally got a decent team around him, and like Cinci because they are kind of local. I record Super Bowls and skip the half-time buffoonery.

we have T-bone here as well, the porterhouses is essentially the same thing with a larger filet because it comes from further up….chuck is what many use over here along with sirloin to make burgers..
rib steak looked better than anything they had today…

I clearly need to expand my music library. I didn’t recognize one single name you mentioned, and I’m a prog rock lover.:wideyed:

I've always liked guitarist Terje Rypdal and lately have been listening to an LP called Sky Music that I mentioned a number of posts ago. Really good mix of material by different artists/guitarists. If you like proggy music - this one checks all the right boxes.
