Dude, you have no idea how IPs work at all. You don't share them with anyone while you're using it. It's DHCP so when your lease is up it might get assigned to someone else, that's it. But, the funny thing is, ISPs track which customers had which IPs on which dates. So it would just take someone to ask TalkBass for the IPs for your username, find out who owns those IPs, go to that owner and ask for an audit on it and there you go.
How do you think the RIAA finds out who people are that are P2P sharing? They find out your IP and go from there. Now, not all ISPs will share that audit without a court order, and even then some fight it (some cases have had major publicity on this).
