Tom Jenkinson / Squarepusher

I don't know about that. The next guy to start bouncing around the stage, fiddling with a laptop and playing in such a crazed, off-the-wall style will surely be labelled as a "Squarepusher-lite", such is the nature of innovation in the music Tom makes.

Though, to quote Polonius of Hamlet, "there is method in his madness". And his jazz bass tone is amazing!

What kind of freaky setup does this guy have??? Probably some crazy effects?!?!?!?!
 
The page on him at Wikipedia details some of his equipment. It's not terribly detailed or technical, but it gives you the names to research.

Basswise, he uses a Jazz bass and a Warwick Corvette 6 string. The Corvette is apparently "heavily-modified", but I've yet to find out what these supposed mods are.

Apparently Tom uses a Zoot 6-string now -
