Maple is my wood of choice. I believe you can't have too much.

I am now compelled by forces beyond my control to show more of my collection of all maple basses.

Or in this case, mostly maple basses.
Are you using that Peavey PA amp as a bass head?
Also, those basses are gorgeous, especially the Leafenbacker.
I like the look but it needs something. maybe black knobs or black pick-ups. or black inlays - not all three but maybe just the knobs and inlays.Looks naked. In a good way. Ultimately up to you - but I'd leave it as is, if it were mine. Reason being, I don't have any basses in a complete natural finish like that, and it really jumps out. Beautiful figuring in that body.
Some of those block inlay stickers might help.
Looks like a distant cousin of my bass.Tb,
Recently I received this bass and absolutely love the build qaulity, tone, and playability. I am finding myself feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the Maple and am thinking of having the bass refinished. What do you guys think?

It looks fine. It is how it is. That is the way the builder or the customer wanted it. It would be a shame if it got messed up just trying to change it for reasons of looks. How does it play, feel, sound? To each his own, but sometimes I think people get too hung up on looks.
