There was too much of nothing really happening on the last record. Jambi had a great rhythm and the guitar had great tone, but could have used more than one chord. There's a huge lull in the middle of the record where the other records are at their strongest.
I enjoy noise/ambience etc but after the huge riffs of the first couple of songs it's hard for a record to keep your attention when they slow it down. It's not that I don't like 10,000 Days but I almost never listen to it all the way through.
