top 5 BRITISH bassists whose PLAY you admire

I think Alex is extremely underrated among bassists.

yes Jack Bruce is a Scot, but that still makes him british. Phil Lynott is one of my top 5, he is an underated player.
Since the top must haves are covered, these 5 are worth a listen

The Hodge is the only one in my Top 5 (Bruce, Murray, Hodge, Lyons, Glover), but as the others have been listed, this would make it a Top 10 with the addition of Alan Lancaster of Status Quo.

It gets confusing pretty quickly, so let's break it down...
Great Britain - England, Scotland and Wales (the countries of the British mainland)
United Kingdom - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
British Isles - mainland UK, plus Ireland (the island itself), the Channel Islands and the Isle Of Man
So many good players. Hard to argue with any of them.
Maybe a left-field idea but John Lodge of the Moody Blues has some interesting moments.
Entwhistle and Palladino would be my top two. Find it hard to decide on the other three.
