Maybe you should talk with someone? Not to be alarmist, but it does sound like it could be depression. Or maybe just take some time away from the instruments and find your muse. May you find happiness and passion in your life.If you didn't notice in my post, I just got a new P-Bass a couple days ago and got a Strat today. I also have another Strat arriving Monday, and am winning an auction for another Strat currently too. No part of my wallet appreciates me right now. hahaha
Hm, I have owned my black Tune BM 4 since 1988, and it still is an absolutely killer bass. Maybe you could have dialed in the trim on the pre-amp? Or maybe you just like a different bass.In the '90s i had a Tune BM 4, but wasn't very happy with, it always had kinda cold tone with a pretty lacking of low mids (which i like best on all my other gear, fat punchy low mids).
That's an impressive observation. I've battled depression off and on since some time in the middle of 1998. Oddly enough, I started playing bass in February of that year. So I've almost never really known music and happiness together. Life is about motivation, and I rarely have any. But music isn't my only hobby, so it all usually balances out well enough. I go through long phases where I don't really play music and get super into motorcycles and riding, and then I'll get out of that for a while and get into WWII, then back to music, and so on. I also have a small memorabilia collection (music, hockey, and motorcycle racing) and an even smaller YouTube channel.Maybe you should talk with someone? I think we have a lot in common: I have also battled depression, and cycle through different hobbies to keep my interests up. Wishing you the best, and feel free to send a pm if you want to talk. That's an impressive observation. I've battled depression off and on since some time in the iddle of 1998. I really do appreciate your checking on me. It's touching that anyone would bother.
