If anyone has an iPod, laptop or even powered speakers (for an iPod) they can bring, that may be helpful. Also if anyone has a digital recorder. I'll do video and photos but an audio file of the event would be nice too. We may want to bring some folding chairs (don't know if the jam room has any) and guitar stands as well.

I'm fairly familiar with Room #4 as we rehearse there weekly. They have 2-3 stools and 3-4 chairs. They usually have an Ampeg III head or a GK 800RB with a 8x10 cab (not sure what make). Also, I think they have around 5-6 music stands.

I can bring my Macbook laptop. I've hooked up my laptop to play music/Garageband drum beats through the keyboard amp in Room #4. Not sure but I'd guess that setup should work for the iPod, no?

Cool stuff. I'd love to try that GK800RB head with my power amp and speakers, I've heard great things about it.

And if I recall, they have a guitar amp right? I'm bringing my guitar as well. My guitar playing buddy (and band mate) is coming around 3:00 pm. My drummer is coming down with me.

This is going to be cool!

Funny you mention that. I did a meet and greet with a bass playing friend in London just over year ago. I brought my loop station and guitar as well to lay down some jam tracks so that we could take turns playing. While one was soloing, the other laid down a nice groove and then we would switch. We had a blast.

Here's a couple of pics of what the setup looked like with just two of us so imagine what it will be like on Saturday :hyper:

Last year I sold a white Ibanez RB-999 just like the one in the pic to "jamesonbass" from Harmony Central (who just happened to hail from London). A sweet little bass for sure. Coincidence?

That's too wild. That is in fact the bass you sold to James and as a matter of fact, he picked it up from you the morning we had our jam session. The pic was taken at James' house later in the afternoon.

James and I became friends through the Guitars Canada Forum.
