Having a little funky fun with "Rudolph":
Yep, the stuff I am hearing here makes me feel this big. I mean, I am self taught, this recording is two track live jamming of a four piece in my room. It's all just child's play. But I had a good time. Not that this is my worst performance ever, or anything like that... I am playing on my B string here and I am not punching through, I am sub sounding in the mix. Which is good because I wasn't comfortable in it for quite a while. In between actual songs during rehearsal, you would many times have these spontaneous jams break out of no where. Sometimes 20 minutes long!
Here's one I'll call blashire. And there is an artistic youtube video of it too!
Ha, ha... Look at those amateurs!
\m/Just started to post on SoundCloud. I have a few songs on YouTube.
This is a metal song, I did the guitar, bass, and vocals. My buddy did the drums.

I'm diggin' that low rumble, too! That "super subby" sound of your tone and the bass drum together is pretty cool. I like that descending line thing too, I think that's the bass?
Thanks for giving your take on it bholder. That "super subby" sound of your tone and the bass drum together is pretty cool. I like that descending line thing too, I think that's the bass?
We once were interviewed on the radio and enjoyed airtime. Down to the station for a 2hr in booth chat with the DJ. I recorded the show at home. When you play back the show it is interesting. All the polish I lavished on "album tracks" was still sub par of the professionally produced material. Yet in the context of the particular show's genre, we fit right in.I'm diggin' that low rumble, too!
And there's plenty of room for less "radio-ready" recordings in this thread. My tracks don't have that polish, but I think they're worth listening to for what they are.
My latest unpolished not-radio-ready little effort:
Thanks! That was just a phone recording from the bedroom, but I do most of my recordings with Audacity. Tried and failed to learn Reaper - I have seldom seen a less intuitive UI on a program....That has potential. Have you thought about a free DAW like Cakewalk and a drum program?
Agreed about Reaper. I had to change DAWs from Cubase and tried Reaper. That lasted about 15 minutes. It's not intuitive at all. Thanks! Listening to "Transmuir" now, pretty cool. Not my typical style, but I like it, well done. Checking out "Altamira - Unite" next. Edit: \m/.I uploaded another song, more heaviness metalness.

I did my own version of "Silent Night" on a Tascam 424 4-track cassette recorder in 2000. I was going to re-record it digitally, but I like the way this version sounds.
