To each his or her own, but I can't help thinking you're being overly dismissive of the gloppy. It can be quite satisfying.

I was going to repair my step daughter's washing machine but the part needed is about $200. A new machine is only another $150. The old one is at least 12 years old, so I guess the extra money should be worth it. Maybe I should give her $275 in quarters and tell her to go to the laundromat.

One summer i was in Phoenix, AZ visiting a friend (Tempe, to be exact.) Not sure of the exact temperature, but when the light changed and i stepped off the curb to cross, the asphalt did make a slight squish under my first foot down.
