Traben Club, Level 2.

i have a traben chaos john moyer standard 4 strings and i'd like to know if the switch is 3 or 5 ways cuz mine has 3 positions while the traben site gives 5. thank you

The JM Havok maybe the 5-Way switch, but not totally sure. I have also heard of Traben putting in 3's on some models for different reasons. Hope that helps some, I don't know much about the JM besides it seems to be a model that wasn't very consistent on what they put in them.

Another shot of my Moyer sig with DR Neons.

anything with a serial number beginning with a T is worth having. Quality was still where it should be, then

Just finished restoring a 4 string Tribal Sun with a T01 serial number. Outside of the serious cleaning she needed, she's in great shape.

Once I get my Fender P back from the shop for reapirs, I'll probably be putting the Sun up for sale in the classifieds here to help raise cash for a Jazz.

Interesting thread, especially since I still haven't gotten around to selling my own brand new, never-tuned-up
Tribal Sun SLE (Special Limited Edition). Your comment, Lee, about how the serial number indicates quality
made me walk across the room and look at mine. Sure enough, there it is: T02551.

I'd really have to dig deep into my hard drive to find the evidence on this, but I believe this came to me in 2004-05.
Anybody got an approximate date for when the SLE was released?

Also, I haven't done a lot of research on this, so for me the question is this: Is the only difference between
the SLE and the other Tribal Suns that flaming maple fretboard? If you haven't seen it before, here's what it looks like:

Well, I guess the "SLE" engraved on the headstock's truss rod cover would qualify as an
upgrade too, but that's stretching it, I think.

In case anyone's interested, this 4-stringer is still "on the market," which is no big surprise
since I've done no marketing. You can get into the whole album on Photobucket here. The original
TalkBass forum with complete description of the instrument and how it ended up with a non-bassist
like me is almost a year old and can be found here. Feel free to PM me if you'd like any more details.

This is beginning to look like a little bank-shot bumperoo...sorry.

Hope y'all have a great holiday weekend! Let's remember what the holiday's really about too...and it ain't shopping.

Best ~
Tom

Hello everyone, new to posting on the forums... I've been checking this place out for the past few days and loving it. Anyway, I have a 5 string traben array limited made in Korea that I really love but I'm in the process of restoring. See, my dog decided to have a pee party all over the gig bag it was in... moved and found out later that every single piece of chrome was corroded. My wife contacted Hanser music group, expecting to have to purchase the parts (the bass is about 3 years old now) and they did us a solid and sent all new hardware! Waiting to get a replacement bag then I'll post some pics once I get all the new pieces installed. Hey, can I get a number too?

Hey guys! Just got done reading through all ten pages. I have a Traben 5-String with the serial F05050138. Can any of you guys tell me anything about it? Like where it was made? I was sad to read that the T's were the good ones.
