I just purchased a Squier P-Bass (Yes I'm a virgin) two days ago, let the modding begin right?!?!? My first bass, sad right.
I will post up some pic's later this evening when I get back home.

It's ugly, aggressive and probably looks worse now than when I got it.....but I really like it.

Sanded down the neck after stabilizing the crack and then sprayed it down with a couple of coats of Tru Oil. Let it set up and then hit it with some 0000 steel wool.
Luthier, your photo album security setting is "Private" - you might want to set it to something else to let us see the pics.
What colour is it mate? I can't quite tell, is it shoreline gold?
They can be absolutely beautiful, I'd love to see you put a tortoiseshell scratch plate on there.
Ok after months of teasin and screwin i got this..SQ Vint Mod 70's..MEC Active pups from a Warwick Corvette '89, Seymour Duncan active 2-way preamp, bridge and tuning machines from a Fender Jazz MIJ '85 in black, graphite nut also painted black and a Fender neckplate to add a little class

Before and after photos of a 2004 Squier Jazz I picked up. Love the way it looks and sounds now with the maple neck, split 55 pups, hipshot fender vintage bridge and some chrome flats.

I'm using them in my early '66 J tribute - (w/La Bella flats) They sound really good!
I'm sporting sdqp's now. But I'm not happy with them. I was wondering if anyone has tried the Joe Barden JB's. I love the open pickup and blades. Looks so slick. It's either those or SGD neo's. Maybe someone prefers one or the other?
