Tricked Out Squier Club Part 3

I'm about to reassemble a squire p I just refinished and I'm using a spb3 and all new pots and wiring. Looking and p bass wiring, all there is for ground is the bridge and jack wires but the squire has several different grounds going to the jack and to the pots, why is this? Helps with keeping it quiet? I've rebuilt several basses and never did any kind of shielding and I have no noise issues

It depends on the kind of pickups and what kind of shielding. You always need good grounds. But if you have shielding tape on your pick guard and shielding tape or paint in your cavity then you don't need to shield your pots. P bass style split coil pickup can be humcanceling. So noise issues are not really an issue. For single coil pickups you need to ground and shield your bass properly. It's basic electronics really. And a guitar is real basic electronics.

I had previously added the side jack so both jacks work. I had a dummy knob, looked wrong

Here's my Vintage Modified PJ Humbucker. It's got Quarter Pounders for the PJ and a Dimarzio Model One for the Humbucker. I also have an Ultralite Extender on there and plan to replace the other three tuners with ultralites as well. The pickguard is from Warmoth and puts the P pickup in the "sweet spot."

I also have an Ultralite Extender on there and plan to replace the other three tuners with ultralites as well. The pickguard is from Warmoth and puts the P pickup in the "sweet spot."

I think it's toggles for each pick-up, on-off straight to jack.
