Better late than never, I guess. Took FCA (or whatever they call themselves nowadays) long enough to get into the ElCamino game.
Yeah I know they had the wrong wheel drive Rampage (based on the Omni) back in the 80's, but they've never had a real wheel drive version like GM and F**d did.
Keep the price low on that car and they'll sell like hotcakes. My ElCamino is one of the most practical vehicles I've ever owned.
The first motor vehicle I ever drove on my own was an El Camino. It was the 'shop truck' at the glass factory where my pop worked. It was two tone brown with gold. The guys in the yard let me drive it with some pallets in the back that needed to be loaded on my pops semi. I wasn't a licensed driver yet, but my pop had been teaching me now and then in the yard, so it was awesome when I got to drive it by myself.
I remember the guys in the yard asked me if I wanted it and let my pop know we could have it for nothing. I wasn't sure, but my pop said sure and we took it home. It was kind of rough on the outside, so my pop had it repainted and put some chrome and gold rims on it to match the gold paint. Every Saturday and Sunday we'd use it for my paper route. I'd sit in the back flipping papers onto porches, or hop out right quick for those who wanted it closer to the door or in the special box for the paper. My pop asked me one day if I wanted it as my own. I was infatuated with F-150's at the time, so I told him no and then he sold it to a guy on my paper route, Mr. Kish. I had to see that El Camino everyday. I sorta wish I had said yes.

Haven't seen any electric trucks around here yet, although Teslas are fairly common, and increasingly the electric VW. Closest to an electric truck I've seen is a Jeep 4xe that Stellantis will apparently also offer as a Gladiator.

And that rear bumper, where did you get that. I need to replace mine, and I like that one.
I think I've had a truck (or five) for about the same length of time. All Chevy with one token Dodge thrown in for good measure.
Took the 79 Blazer to Bloomsburg PA this weekend for a 4x4 Jamboree. First time I took this truck was 1992..... hard to believe it was 30 years ago. Met up with some other K5 owners while we were there.....

I had a 79 GMC Jimmy. Wish I'd held on to that one. The only two trucks I miss now are the Jimmy and a '80 Scrambler. I've had a lot of trucks (dodge/chevy/gmc/ford/jeep/mitsubishu/toyota), but those 2 were my favorites.
