Seriously, though- anyone who bags on you for not playing santa claus every once in a while is a bit ig'nant...I'm just a lowly bass player in Houston, and I too have felt the joy of giving...it's a very cool thing! It even inspires some people. I like to help out when I can, and when I can afford it. But don't let people guilt you into anything, it just results in hard feelings all the way around. Do what's in your heart, and you won't go wrong.
As far as the time delay thing, it'll be more noticeable in the bass range anyway- just look at how long the waves are! Takes a while for them to go full cycle, and if you're 35 ft out, with nearby sources (monitors, etc.), I can imagine it's like playing bass with lysdexia...
Anyway, very cool rig, and you're a stand-up guy for helping other musician's dreams along. Good for you, man!

beware they make speakers with no magnets for dummy cabs. im not saying who has them and who doesnt. i just know they are manufactured. honestly, if i could use one fifteen, it would sound the best. point source. no phasing crap. i blame my guitar players. johnnya
