is it ok to smoke in here?
No, unless it's smoked salmon.
sure, not weed though, the OP is on head-meds, not a good mix. I haven't had a good Cuban Partagas corona in ages, got one? I know you can get 'em in Espan~a :bassist:
Definitely no cigars, pipe tobacco is okay.
...ka-boom being the key point here. Good luck blowing yourself up :)
We should be so lucky.

You guys n gals must admit, 18eranaRic is very talented. How long is this thread? Still going, still entertaining, no mods issuing warnings let alone shutting the fun down — 18 just keeps prodding the buttons but not too hard, no real flare ups. Man, to keep that kind of balance, a tight-rope walker should be so lucky.

or... forgot to mention again that, what do you guys think about 3 mosfet power amps and a alembic pre (i guess its a replica of a blackface showman)? that should handle the pedals i want to use and blast the cab pyramid to feedback pretty hard

The Alembic is the Fender tonestack, yes. I like leadsleds and tube amps but they do "feel" quite a bit different from each other.

dude, now we're on the right track! :bassist: which power (6550s or mosfet)...will make my speaker tower blast and feedback my ric and make the neck literally feel like its an exploding bass-ball bat...like the instant you fret? #know im sayin? :hmm:

The leadsleds will give you more raw power and feel "quicker", ( even though they're not scientifically faster or anything). The tube amps can sound "bigger" than they are and give you a "bloom" that'll bowl you over the stage front.

Given my 'druthers I'd prefer the tubes but I ain't complainin' either way.

yea man that's what i was thinking, the transformers are really nothing to compare when it comes to bloom, but i do know that mesa, and especially the m6 has a vintage, but more powerful bloom. what am i thinking? haha maybe i am craz... to consider the mosfet. lol

The Mesa Mpulse 600 has tons of bloom as well and yes I do use own and use it regularly.

There are people who just don't like SS heads as much as tube amps. I am one of them. I don't know why folks go out of their way trying to convince people otherwise.
