I got my very simple board wired up for this weekend. Just waiting on an MXR octave deluxe and she will be all set. The new T-Rex works like a charm for power with the current doubler cable. 2x12V @ 300mA gives me 600 mA for the Le Bass. Works great! Thanks again for any input guys on getting the power situation squared away
Have you tried it without the doubler cable? Curious to know if the outputs are flexible in mA output like the CS-7!
No I'm just going with what two notes audio told me to do with that specific power supply. They're main concern was that you could under supply the Le bass preamp with mA's by just running one 300mA load... I'm sure it probably will run it at 300mA, I just wanna make sure I'm getting my monies worth out of that tube
Have been contemplating making the move to a pedalboard rig as opposed to the amp+cabinet route. Currently running a B-Max T into a Crown power amp. I love the warmth of the sound, but I hate lugging the thing. How does the Le Bass stack up tone was for a warm tube clean tone? The soundclips sound great, but I would prefer to hear from the community as to how the Le Bass sounds clean in the real world.
From warm tube to dirty tube Le Bass simply sounds great and tubey. I would suggest a read through the past 8 pages for more opinions.
Mine connects to a Crown XLS 2002.

Just home from running it direct tonight to FOH in a 1200 seat auditorium. Soundboard was very impressed with its tone. I ran channel A gain and volume at 1:00, bass at about 2:00, and treble at about 3. I did enable the cab simulator and was in love with the way it sounded in my ears... This set doesn't have much need for a lot of grit, just nice smooth butter. Channel A was perfect.....
I'll repeat what I wrote earlier in the trade. The first gig I plugged Le Bass preamp (with the CAB) everybody just flipped, fellow musicians on stage and soundman alike! It's our 80th show together (IEM) and I was using a DHA VT2 as preamp-DI. It sounded good; but the Two Notes gear is just it...

Good morning from Greece, I check this thread regularly as I am in search for a 2 channel od/distortion pedal. Have to ask, the price is the same globally?
Also does it comes shipped with power supply?
I will drive the signal from my AVRI 75 to an SWR headlite connected in a 4*10 Goliath.
I really love the clean sound from my rig so far but I need the od/distorted sound for some songs. You think that it will fit the bill?

Finally got to give mine a decent run through my rig at rehearsal last night. I'm using a Stingray 5 > Alembic F-1X > Ashly Compressor > QSC PLX1602 > Bergantino HT322. I tend to use a decent amount of effects (Strymon El Capistan, EBS Stanley Wah, MicroPog) and have to have two or more of them turned on at a time, so for me it was essential that I could use the bypass mode as my clean tone so that I could turn on several of them with the loop bypassed and then kick them all on at once by going to one of the modes and activating the loop.
The bypass sounded good to my ears. My strings were a little dead from heavy gigging the past few weeks, but it all seemed to be the same whether I was plugged directly into my rig or with the Le Bass in line.
Channel A - great slap tone is just a footswitch away! At first I thought that the high EQ was voiced a little higher than I would have chosen, but once I got it dialed in and got everything leveled out it was nice to be able to hit the button for quick slap passages and then duck back into the mix. I thought this was also going to be my channel for solos, but I eventually changed my mind. Read on.
Channel B - I didn't think I was going to like this channel by itself, I was anticipating using it in cold fusion mode along with the clean channel. I was definitely wrong. It took a little messing around, but I eventually found the only dirt tone I've ever liked with my Stingray. Played with a pick, I was able to get a nice thumpy tone with a little grit that turned to grind when I dug in. My guitar player commented on the resulting permagrin. It also drove my wah pedal nicely, took it from polite to rude with the tap of a switch.
Cold Fusion Mode - THIS will be my solo tone. Nice and clear and punchy, with a little grind added in.
Hot Fusion Mode - kicked it in to try it out, it's massive and sounds great. Perked up the guitar player's ears. I have no idea where I'd use it in my funk/R&B band, but it definitely sounds cool. I can see the heavy rock guys totally digging on this setting.
I meant to bypass my F-1X and go directly into the compressor > power amp via the XLR out on the Le Bass, but we were getting torrential snowstorms yesterday and practice was a quick in and out. Next time.
Overall: I'm putting my Bassbone, MXR Bass Pre, MXR Micro Amp, VT Bass pedal, BB Bass Preamp, and Sansamp rackmount RPM all up for sale next week. The Le Bass does all of the same stuff and does it better, IMHO. I did order a Radial Bigshot I/O so that I could run two basses at once. This preamp is a HUGE winner.

That's an impressive list! I worked my way through a shorter preamp list although I had a handful of yours as well as some others not on your list. I also went through a bunch of all tube amps...Ampeg, fender, ashdown, traynor, couple of hand built amps and once I found the torpedo cab and Le bass I've sold them all. The le bass by itself is definitely my favorite preamp pedal by a long shot, it's kinda of messing with me because I enjoyed trying new preamps and amps so much and now it kinda seems pointless...guess it's a good problem to have haha
I myself replaced two pedals from the top list with Le Bass.
The tones from Le Bass to me were noticeably richer in warmth and harmonics than the pedals it displaced. Notes were thick and sweet.
Playing through Le Bass is like putting Dr. Scholl's Gel insoles in ones shoes. When taken out, one cannot help but notice the difference!
I'm about a week late or so, but here's that video explaining how I run my wired in-ear system. No Le Bass sounds, but it is mounted on my pedalboard.

So, I'm very close to getting this thing. Payday is Thursday, I'll probably put the order in this week.
I've also been considering getting some form of multiband compressor as a tone shaper, most likely a TC Spectracomp. I know through research that tubes will naturally compress the sound anyway, and that adding extra compression to that can lead to less-than-desirable results. I also like to run a little grit with my tone - currently with a Fuzzrocious Demon, but I'm hoping the Le Bass will get the job done better and I can use the Demon just when I need heavier drive - and that adds compression as well.
Obviously, I'm going to wait to actually hear the Le Bass in my setup before I get the compressor. I may not need one at all once I hear it. But, for those who already have a Le Bass - particularly if you run it with slight to low-medium dirt - how much do you feel it compresses? Do any of you use it in conjunction with a compressor, and if so, how well do they play together?

I used to use my EBS Multycomp as an "always on" compressor, I don't anymore since I got the LeBass.
I do use a Pigtronix Philosopher king more as an effect (swells/sustain/chopper). The more you bump the input gain on the preamp the more compression you get, it's subtle but enough for me.
