Well, GC Used has two Milestones, both under $130 bucks, and one is under $90 bucks !! I'll take those over an Affinity any day.

Guitar Center Raleigh put it back up for sale, while still posting the pic of the USA made sunburst Fury that they sold from the Austin store....GC is funny sometimes.

Meanwhile they sold the purple Axcelerator Plus while somebody returned the blue one, probably the same person returned the blue and is gonna give the purple a shot.

Probably something wrong with the blue one - thing with GC is I returned a bass one time with a defective bridge pickup (ie. didn't work), I ordered it from a GC across the country, but returned it to my local store. I showed them that it didn't work and perhaps have it repaired before trying to re-sell it or sell it a lesser price due to the need for a repair or replacement, I didn't want anyone to be disappointed as I was. I come back to the same store 2 weeks later, it's hanging on their wall, same price and thinking they repaired it, I tried it out. No, the pickups was still defective, I again told them to try to fix it before selling it. I go online a week later and it was still listed.
They just don't care if it works or not, just that someone buys it.

Not exactly/directly Peavey related, but Freekbass had Rudy Sarzo on his show tonight. (I just saw it posted, I'll watch it later)

Freekbass is somewhat local to me, I did some repair work for him years ago when I worked in the repair shop. I should have signed up for lessons with him. It's a bit of a drive, but maybe I'll sign up for some lessons once things are 'back to normal'.

I thought about it. A LOT. But decided against it when a deal on a Squier CV 70s Jazz 5 came up for a deal. I do have a legit need for an affordable 5 string. Another 4 string Frankenstein would have just been a fun project with a result that is not really needed.
I already have a spare, loaded Patriot neck. Would just need a pickup-decided that I would have tried an EMG 40 or 45 series as I have a BTS system that would have mated nicely with it.

Picked up my first recording interface recently, and thought I'd do a quick demo for you guys. This is my patriot strung with rotosound steels, through my Carvin ProBass head, playing with a dunlop jazz iii pick. Playing a very inaccurate version of Danielson by Tigers Jaw off the top of my head, but I love how punchy the patriot is.

I like it. That is a strong wheelhouse for the Patriot--rounds and a pick.
I have a couple more gigs coming up soon, so I need to select the passive 4 stringers for them. Will use RicRiot V2 (with new wide-nut neck) for one, and the Forum Plus (with Wildes) for the other. My favorite thing about the RicRiot is that it can punch, it can be scoopy/funky or big and deep, and that's just using the pickup selector!

So that second pickup really added the big and deep?
Do you use rounds or flats on yours?
I need to find another Patriot to do surgery on.

Big time! The soloed neck pickup has a deep and smooth fundamental. Being a Super Ferrite, it still has a nice, wide bandwidth and clarity (unlike mudbuckers). It's such a perfect sounding pickup for wherever it lands between the heel of the neck and the bridge. No wonder it's my favorite bass pickup!
Comparing the RicRiot to a Foundation is similar in the blended/scoopy tone, but you certainly can hear the difference of the pickups being shifted towards the neck vs the Foundy's shift towards the bridge. The Foundation, overall, has more agressive punch and cut, the RicRiot more depth.

I gotta go find me a less than perfect Patriot, so I can copy your Patented RicRiot. :bassist:

I have an unloaded Foundation body here but I would need three SF pickups to fill the original two holes and make a third at the neck.

I totally get and respect the stock Patriot, but I fully support anyone that wants to make it more versatile via RicRiot mods!

Couldn't you fill in the bridge pickup hole then install one at the neck, then you would have a Foundation 4004 type bass :thumbsup:.
