My GV neck seems to be very stable. I adjusted it only once and it has not moved.
I own two G.Gould basses and a Modulus Quantum and the necks on those basses are superior to the G/GV. They are completely stable and play so evenly in that every note is clear and there are no dead or hot spots anywhere. However, my GV is a wonderful bass for about 1/3 the cost of a Gould or Modulus.
My Millennium Plus 5 neck is also stable but so are my Cirrus necks. Even my Forum passive P/J neck is stable. Perhaps I have been lucky. The only other wood neck bass I own is a Roscoe 6 fretless and that neck has never moved after I set the bass up.
