Also a 1989 Fury for $199 !!! If I didn't already have one, I'd be all over this. My '92 Fury looks like this and has the lowest action of any bass I own ! It's unbelievable how well made the Fury necks are.

I so remember when ya'll choked and laughed when my T-40FL sold for $950 (matching number fretted and fretless necks)

Bridge/neck is misaligned , E string is dropping off the fretboard . Bridge saddles are set in some weird random pattern.
Any weight saving achieved by butchering the body was negated by the steel PG.

$2400 is about average for a piece of ugly wall art.

I'd go with "over priced" as being one reason

Plenty of Furys can still be had in the $200 to $300 bracket and that's store prices.

Because (still) nobody seems to think a Peavey Fury is worth $450, and in this case you will have to pay to ship it.
When you buy a bass from GC the shipping is $20.

And that is not to say I think that bass is not worth more than the asking price.
