Just finished it

Last night I was watching some music videos on YT and came, across this little gem when Peavey were really riding high. It's a clip from Farm Aid '85 (not sure what Farm Aid was) but Roy Orbison performs Pretty Woman, & the bass player is using a white Foundation bass & trying out his Roger Glover look.
The bass amp & guitar amps are Peavey's and I was reminded how good the 80's, were for Peavey and still how good the Foundation bass looked.:cool:

Farm Aid was a HUGE concert in the 80's put on by Willie Nelson, if I remember correctly, that was to aid all the farmers who were going through a tough time. I think John Cougar was involved, too. It was the American version of LIVE AID from the 80's at Wembley Stadium where Queen's legendary performance practically defined the era.
Obviously, this was WAY before the internet was a public thing, other than colleges to be able to communicate with each other, so calling in a pledge on a "1-800-Live-Aid" from your home phone and using a credit card. No cell phones, either. It was the only way to get funds then. That was our version of "Go-Fund-Me".
But yeah, that was very cool seeing the Foundation and MKIV 1820 stack.

Yup, it's a 1984. Serial numbers from 0170-0199 are 1984.
I kind of hate you right now. You have the Unicorn of Foundations AND the bass and case are in perfect condition. That color called Salmon is spectacular.

OH OK, sorry !!!! I stand corrected. Pearl Rose !!! It's wonderful. Sounds like LSD. "Stay away from the brown acid. Instead, take the Pearl Rose." :)
