I really just wanted to see if doing the caps on the pro bass 500 pre-/control section would help make it sound better lol


Putting it back together I realize that I broke a gray and black lead that connects to the back of the amp I tried to fix it and re soldier it

Turn it on!

all the lights flash that’s great

Play in my bass
No signal
No sound

Turns out I had two caps

plugged it in


…. Smoke in the back of the amp

but thankfully Lee here helped with finding out what it was

Similar boat here. I have always wanted a rosewood Patriot with black headstock.
Now that I have that older 1.75" Patriot neck on mine, that wish has been suppressed.
However, if I found a 1.75" Patriot neck with rosewood...

So hard to pick a favorite. Mahogany has roto nickels, the teal has roto steels. Still need to pick up some brass saddles for the mahogany one to finish the package. For being some of the most budget peaveys offered, I gotta say I’m a pretty big Patriot fan lol

Yeah, a Patriot is a must have for Super Ferrite, 51 P basses, and Rick fans! I'm only a Rick fan when it comes to looks and sound. I've owned 3 and can't get over the obstacles their design throws at my hands :-( .

Peavey Foundation Fretless 1983 Marble

I inquired about the finish on this one, wrap or custom paint job here's the quoted reply:

(It's a paint finish that's actually factory original. Peevey released the foundation in a gloss white, sunburst, black, and other limited run "exotic" finishes including this marble one.)

I'm guessing nope! If I'm wrong this one's a rare beast for sure...
