pinz....Congrats, you have one painted the elusive Frost Blue. That's probably the rarest color for a Peavey guitar of that era.

Ebay will probably be the only place to find a knob. Expect to pay about US$20.

That is a REALLY cool T-45, its a quirky instrument and I seldom see them. If it weren't for the slab body I would have picked one up at some point. They seem to have had more color options than the T-40 (or at least I've seen them in more colors)

Great score on that T-45, in all its rare, frosty, goodness.

That one's pretty special, I think I'd spring for the pricey "P" knob.

speaking of the knobs, a ton of T-40 parts popped up on ebay, there are TWO sets of P-knobs on auction right now if anyone needs these pain in the arse to find parts:

Another method to get LazerP knobs (and not pay $30 each) is to look out for early foundations.. the initial generation had them.. it really doesn't destroy a foundy to put on speed knobs.

Got the case...and really impressed at how beefy it is, weighs quite a bit, and for molded plastic is pretty tough, not much padding but when it holds a bass so tight it aint exactly gonna move around. Good stuff, shame they stopped making these!

just stopped by the local pawn emporium on the way home from work ...

$250 for a fairly beat up Fury ... no case.
$399 for a Dyna fiver in a case that it doesnt really fit in ... decent, but not great condition.

i think he just searches CL for prices, and adds 50%.

Some pawns have instruments just to look like they are deversified when they are actually a gunsmith or a jeweler.

When you try to talk the prices down, he's not even interested.

Every pawn shop around here has the same decorative Squier / Ibanez basses.

I got pretty good deals on my two from local pawnshops, but it took a lot of looking to find them at the price point I wanted.

Passed on a Patriot that was way overpriced.

CL seems to be the better place to find deals now.
